03 — Why us

What a measured roofing company does differently

  1. The estimate is a document, not a pitch

You get a measured scope: squares, pitch, deck condition, ventilation math, material spec, and a fixed price. Read it on your own time — nobody sits in your kitchen until you sign.

  2. One crew, start to finish

The crew that tears off is the crew that installs — W-2 installers, not day-labor subs. The foreman who walks your roof on day one hands you the warranty on the last day.

  3. Photo-documented, every stage

Deck exposed, underlayment down, flashing set, ridge closed — you receive time-stamped photos at each stage, so you can verify what is under your shingles without climbing a ladder.

  4. A warranty with a phone number

Workmanship coverage in writing, serviced directly — not a manufacturer hotline you get routed through. If a repair ever leaks, the same company that installed it comes back and fixes it at no charge.

04 — How it works

Four steps, each one documented

From the first call to the final walkthrough, you always know what happens next — and you have it in writing.

  1. Request the roof walk

Book online or call. Most inspections get scheduled within the week and take under an hour — you do not need to be home.

  2. Get the measured quote

Within 48 hours you receive the full written scope with line-item pricing and photos of everything found on the roof. The number is fixed.

  3. The work happens fast

Most residential roofs finish in a day or two. Landscaping is tarped, the crew badged, and the site magnet-swept every evening before anyone leaves.

  4. Walkthrough & warranty

The foreman walks the finished roof with you, hands over the photo record, registers your materials, and issues the written workmanship warranty.

  • Dana W. March 2026

Three companies quoted us a full replacement. SlatePeak measured the deck, showed us photos, and repaired two flashing runs for a tenth of the price. The roof has been dry through two storm seasons.

  • Marcus T. January 2026

The estimate was four pages — every line priced, every photo labeled. Nobody pressured us. Tear-off to cleanup took a day and a half and the yard was cleaner than they found it.

  • Priya S. November 2025

Hail claim. Their documentation matched the adjuster scope line for line, so the claim cleared in nine days. The crew foreman texted photos at every stage. Absurdly organized company.

  • Glen H. September 2025

Scheduling slipped a week because of rain, which they told us about early and honestly. The work itself was immaculate — straight courses, clean flashing, magnet-swept beds.

  • Aiko N. July 2025

They found a ventilation problem two other roofers missed — the reason our shingles were cooking from underneath. Fixed the intake, replaced one slope, saved us a full replacement.

  • Rob & Casey F. May 2025

Called at 7 AM with water coming through a can light. Tarped by 11, permanent repair the following week, and the invoice matched the quote to the dollar.

10 — Questions

Straight answers, before you ask

The questions every homeowner asks us — answered the way we answer them on the phone.

Ask us directly
How much does a new roof cost?

Most single-family architectural-shingle replacements run in the five figures, depending on roof area, pitch, tear-off layers, and deck condition. Every quote here is a fixed line-item document — the number you sign is the number you pay, with any deck-repair contingency flagged as a priced line before work starts, not added after.

Repair or replace — how do I know which I actually need?

If damage is localized — flashing, a few wind-lifted courses, one valley — and the deck is sound, we repair it and say so. We replace only when the field of the roof is failing: widespread granule loss, brittle shingles, or a deck with rot. A meaningful share of the "replacement" quotes we are asked to review turn out to be repairable.

Do you handle the insurance claim for storm damage?

We document it so your claim stands: marked-up photo sets, moisture readings, and a scope formatted the way adjusters expect. You file the claim; we meet the adjuster on the roof if you want us there. We never inflate scope, and we never charge for the documentation.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most residential roofs are torn off and re-shingled in a day or two. Complex roofs — steep pitch, multiple dormers, skylight work — can run three to four days. You get the schedule in writing before we start, and rain-delay decisions are made early the morning of.

What does the workmanship warranty cover?

Any failure caused by our installation — flashing, fastening, sealing, ventilation work — repaired free for ten years, serviced by our own crew. Manufacturer warranties on the shingles themselves (typically 30-year to lifetime) come on top, and we register those for you.

Do you use subcontractors?

No — every roof is installed by our own crews, background-checked and W-2 employed, not day-labor subcontractors. The foreman who walks your roof on day one is the same person who hands you the warranty on the last day.

Is the estimate really free? What happens after I request one?

Yes — free and unconditional. We walk the roof within the week, and within 48 hours you receive the written scope with photos and fixed pricing. Then it is your decision on your timeline. We follow up once; we do not chase.

How do I know if my roof even needs attention, or if it can wait?

A handful of granules in the gutters or one lifted shingle after a windstorm is rarely urgent. Daylight visible through the attic decking, a soft or spongy spot underfoot, or a ceiling stain that reappears after every rain are signs worth a free inspection sooner rather than later — small problems on a roof stay small for a while, then stop being small all at once.
