Why Strata
Four promises, in writing, on every job
-
One number, agreed to before we start
You approve a flat-rate price before any part is ordered or any panel comes off. If a job runs long, that’s a cost we absorb, not one that shows up on the invoice.
-
Right-sized, every time
Every install starts with a real load calculation — insulation, windows, orientation, ductwork condition — because an oversized system short-cycles and an undersized one never keeps up. You see the numbers behind the recommendation, not just a price.
-
Technicians who carry real credentials
Every technician is background-checked and EPA-certified for refrigerant handling, with ongoing training on the equipment brands we actually install and repair.
-
Treated like a finished room, not a job site
Drop cloths, shoe covers, and the old equipment hauled out — when we’re done, the only sign we were there is that the house is comfortable again.
How it works
From “something’s wrong” to “guaranteed in writing”
-
Call or send the form
A real person confirms your arrival window the same day for most calls, and immediately for no-heat or no-cool emergencies.
-
Approve the price up front
A technician diagnoses the issue or measures for a replacement and hands you an exact, flat-rate price before any work begins.
-
The system gets tested, not just touched
Repairs and installs are checked with real instruments — pressures, temperatures, airflow — before the technician calls it finished.
-
Guaranteed in writing
Workmanship is backed by a written guarantee, and if something we touched isn’t right, we come back and fix it at no charge.
Recent work
What showing up properly looks like
-
A properly sized AC condenser, set level and leak-tested before we call it done -
Furnace repairs get a combustion safety check every time, not just the ones that go wrong -
Heat pumps sized by load calculation, not by the old unit’s nameplate -
Ductless mini-splits mounted level and commissioned on the spot -
Ductwork tested before and after — the numbers go on the invoice

Google reviews for Strata Climate
- Rachel T. June 2026
AC died in the first hot week of June. Dispatcher answered on the second ring, tech arrived at 2:40 for a 2–4 window, and the capacitor swap cost exactly what the text quote said. Cold air by dinner.
- Dan & Marisol V. May 2026
Three companies bid our heat pump. Strata was the only one that measured rooms and pulled a permit without being asked. The load calc said smaller than our old furnace — they were right, the house has never been this even.
- Priya K. April 2026
Duct sealing on a 1978 tri-level. They showed me the leakage numbers before (31%) and after (7%) on the test rig. Upstairs bedrooms finally get real airflow.
- Greg H. February 2026
Furnace went out on a Sunday night at 9pm. Tech was here by 10:15 and had heat restored with a temporary igniter, then returned Tuesday with the OEM part. Only ding: the follow-up invoice email took a couple of days.
- Aimee L. January 2026
Maintenance plan is worth it for the scheduling alone. They text a photo of the tech before arrival, wear shoe covers without being asked, and the checklist they leave is actually legible.
- Sam O. November 2025
Second house we’ve used them in. Same story both times: flat price honored, no upsell theater, work explained in plain English. They’re our HVAC company, full stop.

FAQ
The questions people actually ask
Straight answers, no hedging. Anything else — the dispatcher at (303) 555-0142 will tell you the truth.
How fast can you get here if we have no heat or no air conditioning?
No-heat and no-cooling calls are treated as emergencies, not appointments — we keep same-day slots open specifically for them and staff an on-call rotation for nights and weekends. A real technician calls you back, not a machine, and gives you an honest arrival window on the first call.
Do you charge for estimates or for coming out to diagnose a problem?
Estimates for a new system or major replacement are free. Diagnostic visits for a repair carry a standard trip and diagnostic fee, which is waived if you move forward with the repair — you’ll always know the number before we start.
How do you decide what size system I actually need?
We run a load calculation that accounts for your home’s square footage, insulation, windows, and duct condition — not a rule of thumb based on the old unit’s nameplate. Oversized systems short-cycle and wear out fast; undersized ones run constantly and never quite catch up.
Are you licensed and insured, and will a technician show ID before coming in?
Yes to both. Every technician carries company ID and is background-checked before we send them to your door, and the company itself is fully licensed and insured for the work we quote.
Do heat pumps actually keep a house warm when it’s freezing outside?
Modern heat pumps hold real heating capacity well below freezing when they’re sized and commissioned correctly — the part that gets skipped most often. We set the balance point with you so backup heat only kicks in when it’s genuinely needed, not constantly.
Why is one room always hotter or colder than the rest of the house?
Almost always a duct problem — a leaky, undersized, or unbalanced run starving that one room of air, not a thermostat problem. We test the ductwork, seal what’s leaking, and rebalance the dampers so that room actually reaches the temperature on the thermostat.
Will a smart thermostat actually lower my energy bills?
It can, but only if it’s configured for your specific equipment — a smart thermostat wired wrong on a heat pump or multi-stage furnace can quietly run backup heat far more than it should. We set it up to match your system, not just pair it to an app and leave.
Do you offer financing on new systems?
Yes. Approved buyers can finance a full replacement with a flat monthly payment, and we’ll walk you through the options alongside the cash price so you can compare both before deciding.
